Hello,

I have been watching this site for some time. Been smoking for a few years usually on a offset stick burner but recently received a MES 30" and have had a few cooks on it so far. I live at high altitude (above 7000 ft) and was wondering based on my elevation and the MES 30" which AMNPS I should look at getting? Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to SMF!

Glad to have you join us!

Hopefully one of the MES Guru's will be along shortly to answer your question!

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum from a pretty nice day here in East Texas, and the best site on the web. Lots of          great people with tons of information on just about everything.

Welcome from Arkansas!! Nice 70 degree day out today, I have a brisket going on my wsm as we speak lol. I'm new as well to the mes 30 only having mine for a couple months but I did resort to running an amnps inside of a mailbox after talking to some of the guys here and have had huge improvements in my food taste over just the chips. I also run a couple of briquettes of kings ford blue busted in half in the chip tray while the amnps is smoking away. I honestly do not know about the effect by elevation though as I believe we are only at about 300'. There some very experienced guys here though that I'm sure will be along to help out.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I hope to hear from someone with a lot more experience with the MES than I have so I make the best choice.
