Hello all. I have been lurking on this forum for about a week. After a week I’m starting to get use to it a little. I wish I would have found this sooner, the wealth of knowledge in here is unbelievable. One thing I have noticed is it would be nice if showed at least what state people were from. It’s hard sourcing some thing where I’m from,.
i reside in Long Beach California. Currently out of work but for the last 15 years I have worked for a light and power company, basically maintaining the street lights. My wife bought me a pit boss vertical smoker in Jan. Our neighbor has one and she likes the results they pull with it. I would have opted for a GMG but this is ok for now. In the beginning there was a learning curve but after a few months of almost smoking something every weekend I feel like I’m getting the hang. My last smoke was beef plate short ribs. They were hard to find because around here they are cut English style (I think that’s what they are called). Basically sliced and cut in half. I wanted the full plate and found some but they weren’t cheap. I’ll see you all around the boards.
