Hello Everyone. I have been lurking for a little while and thought I would join in order to be able to actively participant. While I have been smoking meats sporadically over the past 10 years or so, I never really developed an adequate knowledge base or skill set. I always had problems with temp control with the various smokers I've had. However this past summer I purchased a Grilla Silverbac smoker and now I have done more cooks this past six months than I have in the past five years. I find myself smoking at least once a month and smoking a larger variety of foods now.
In addition to the Silverbac, I have some Weber Grills as well; Genesis, 22.5” kettle, and Smokey Joe. I have a vertical Charbroiler smoker (gasser) but this was replaced by the Silverbac. I plan to give the Charbroiler smoker to another family member.
