Hey Guys anyone out there an electronics engineer or really good with building electronic controls??  This isn't going on my smoker but have a small projecct that I need assistance with.  It's a control circuit for a dc motor that hasa to be random direction and time.

Don't know which forum to post this in so please feel free to move if necessary.

Thanks Guys!!

Well as it only has two directions, basicaly all you need is a random duration for how long it will be going in the current direction.  An Arduino seems to be able to generate random numbers and then reversing the direction from the DC power source will do what you want.  That is the approach I would use, and it looks like you can bound the randomness so that it would be between say 30 and 120 seconds.
