My wife asked for reverse seared rib-eyes for Valentines Day dinner. The weather station a mile away reads 0° with a -13° windchill and the probes in my MES 40 cabinet read 13°. The Auber controller has the cabinet up to 151° after only 5 minutes.

I did wear my insulated hunting bibs and jacket out to get it all set up and to bring it in, but thanks to wifi equipment, I got to stay inside where it was warm while the steaks cooked. Here is a picture of the full menu for the evening.

Fantastic , a meal fit for Royalty. Or just us plain folk

Only thing missing is a couple of candles, nice job

I can’t believe you guys are actually smoking in this weather. We are watching the weather channel & Florida seems to be the only place in the US that is warm. It’s 80 today here & we went swimming this AM. I can’t even imagine what those temps are like for you guys. Looks like your nose would fall off putting out the garbage.

That meal looks fantastic! Especially doing it in that cold! I feel guilty complaining about not getting out of the 40's here in Ga. Great work!

The coldest Smoke I ever did was at "Minus 13°" actual Temp, in November of 1967.
It was a Marlboro I smoked, while walking to my car, after sitting in a Swamp for 4 hours, waiting for a Big Black Bear to show up.
