Picked up a 7lb pork butt yesterday afternoon and originally planned on injecting it with Cherry Dr. Pepper. However, I ended up coming across this carnitas version from Malcolm Reed. I am mostly following his recipe and it is coming along nicely.

The OJ marinade it sat in overnight

Ah yes carnitas.... but that is as is, looks delicious....I think for some of it I would add a little orange juice, cumin and chili after pulling pork fry tell crisp and sever in a corn tortilla and a with cold beer.:)
 
Turned out really well. The sauce, avacado, cilantro, and pork really came together. Bark was fantastic. I completely forgot to get a money shot of the tacos though. The picture of the pulled product was about an hour and a half after pulling. Three people took out about half of the meat

Crazy. This is the second time this week I heard the words Cherry Dr Pepper. A buddy on the west coast swears buy it. Great cook here. Like! B
