Thanks for the heads up, I had hit the Walmart $5 special on the 15.4 lb bags last go around. I've still got two bags of it left, but I guess I'll make a trip to to a Home Depot and stock up on four or five bags to stash away just for good measure.

It's actually amusing when I hit the Walmart special. I had picked up their "2 pack special" which was two 12.9 lb bags for something like $13. As I got up to the registers, they had a center isle display of some smoker, and 15.4 lb bags of KBB for $5. I stood there for a few seconds almost dumbfounded that less that 300 ft from where I stood was a special for less charcoal for more money...then swap occurred.

Lowe's has a 2 unit max purchase. HD has a 5 unit max. So I went to HD. The checkout lady said to get as much as I want. So I did. Good thing I took my pickup truck!

I hit the depot up today and bought 6 bags. Along with the 30 lbs I still had, that should hold me over for quite a while.

Yeah, they are a pain. Have military endorsement on my drivers license which you can only get by showing your DD-214 at the DMV. That's not good enough for them.... gotta have military ID card. For that reason I do 98% of my shopping at Lowe's. I bought the charcoal there because it's close to work, easier to get to and on my way home. 

Lowe's give you the discount on items that are on sale?

Never tried it, guess I was wrong..... was under the impression that they don't give military discount on sale items.
