So after some quality recommendations from you guys, and the helpful staff at A-Maze-N I just ordered one of the expandable 12-18 inch tubes.  Along with the 2lbs of Pitmaster choice pellets that came with it, I also ordered 2lbs of Oak, Mesquite, and Corn Cob.  I figured I might as well break the $49 mark and get the free shipping.  Just the tube with shipping was almost 49.  So instead I got a bunch of pellets and paid the same price.

Cold smoking cured meats.....here I come!

That's the way to do it! I always do the same thing to get the free shipping. I'd rather pay for stuff I'm going to use rather than shipping.

Forgot to tell you to order the big bags (5lb, 20lb). You will be running out of the 2lbs bag in no time.

On the other hand maybe you are better off waiting for a sale (Todd has promotions a few times a year).

I had thought about that, but was thinking if I got smaller ones I could try different flavors. I signed up for the emails so I'll keep an eye out for sales.
