Hi everyone. I am Mark, from Virginia, in the Good ol USA. I have been reading this forum for awhile. I have been wanting to learn the Art of Smoking. I just got a Masterbuilt 40 electric smoker. I also went ahead and got the AMNPS 5x8 to go with it. I will hopefully get started this weekend with some beef ribs. Any tips will greatly be appreciated, especially on AMNPS placement inside the smoker. I have not made any mods yet.

Thanks,

Mark

Welcome Mark! Glad to have you aboard. There are quite a few skilled MES users here so you'll be in good hands. Looking forward to seeing how those beef ribs turn out.

I got good bark and good flavor. I did not achieve the level of tenderness I wanted though. I will get it next time. I know what I did wrong. Not enough patience...
