Hello All from Tampa Florida!
I finally took the plunge and registered so I could join in on all the fun. I got tired of reading about and viewing all the great que and not being able to chime in. I got the cooking bug at a very early age and my Mother and Grandmother as well as other family members were very encouraging. I learned an awful lot from them and am very grateful for the time and patience they showed me.
The very first thing I cooked on was my sisters Easy Bake Oven, LOL, and I was hooked ever since. I actually turned out some pretty good stuff on that thing till my Mom let me move up to the real deal.
My family cooks a whole pig every year on Christmas Eve. We have been doing this since I was 7 or 8 years old and I am 50 now so basically 42 years experience on just about every kind of rig you can imagine. We used to make our fire pit every year out of concrete blocks and then take it down and store it till the next year. Then my Dad and I discovered the Caja China (China Box) and have been using it ever since.
Well enough about me, Just glad to be a part of this place and hope to contribute soon and post some pics. You guys are World Class, I Love this site!
