Jerky Heading To Family

Yet again in our military family we have a member who got deployed to Afghanistan. All she wants is jerky.

Got 5 pounds of round sliced eye round and 5 pounds of flank.

Eye is marinated in Dales and 1 tsp cure.

I float the round so its all been covered in the marinade.

The flank i do the same.
Both in zip bags with the marinade and in the fridge overnight (did that yesterday)
The flank is in honey bbq mix and cure.

Rounds in the dehydrator this morning.

Very nice. Goodies from home always made for bright spots in otherwise not so fun deployments. My moms cookies were always in high demand.

Eye round is done and vac sealed. Got the flank in the dehydrator now.

My SIL wasting no time getting a shed built for the tractor and 4 wheeler and other things.
