The bride pulled and rinsed my CB today so I could smoke it tonight.

As we chatted about the cured items we make, we decided to make breakfast for supper.

First, we cooked some homemade belly bacon for the grease.

Then we added some of the CB all chunked up to the bacon grease, after that fried for a bit, we added cubed potatoes, onion, and garlic....

When the CB, onions, and garlic were about finished, I added the chopped bacon and let it go a few more minutes.

Once that was all done, we put some eggs into the remaining grease, and let them go sunny side up!

Yep, it rocked!

Looks like a perfect breakfast. Hmmmmm, I mean dinner, ah supper.:points:

CB being I worked shifts for 35 yrs. I could still, chow down on that any time of the day, evening, night. Thanks for sharing

I only saw the title to your post, and my immediate reaction was Yes, only ever Yes. There can never be a negative response to that statement.

That's one of our favorite things to eat. Sometimes, like now we have tons of peppers and squash in the garden and we'll throw those in too.

But, I forgot to add, on the plate would be toasted corn tortillas and homemade chili sauce, my hubby puts everything in corn tortillas. But only toasted on the comal, never microwaved!

Almost a thing of perfection! But where's the cast iron man!
Well, as of Saturday, my left wrist is SORE as all get out, seems I'm having a gout flare up in it.  Never had it in my wrist before, so the cast iron was a no go due to the weight.  I know, bad redneck...

Corn tortillas are a main staple for us as well.  And you're correct, breakfast is good anytime!

Breakfast for supper!

Grew up on it, when times were thin.  Which was a lot of times back then.

But... does it matter what you eat when, as opposed to eating right?  Don't think so.  I still enjoy breakfast for supper off and on today, by choice, not need.  Breakfast meals are as nutritious as common supper meals.  Some times, more so.

My wife never knew what growing up poor was.

But she enjoys our breakfast suppers almost as much as I do.  I enjoy them a tad more than her, because it makes me think of our family way back then, and the good time we had.  Us kids didn't know we were poor until after we reached adulthood and struck out on our own.

So when is that supper served again?  I'll be there.  It looks good to me!  LOL

That looks delicious.  I can almost smell it from here!!

I can eat a breakfast like that for any meal but oddly enough..I will eat cold cereal ONLY at night.  The mere thought of putting that in my mouth first thing in the morning is repulsing.  <<-- (Whatever your thinking...Just don't)
