Carol moved all the blocks off the grass the best she could. He wiped out 2 sections.
Now we have to wait till the end of the week to get the police report and insurance info. I hope he has decent insurance and is fair in the claim.
Thanks for all the comments and well wishes from all. There was a witness at the corner waiting for him to go by, thank God she wasn't hit or we would have had 2 vehicles in the yard. She said he was going quite fast and knew something was wrong. Good thing the dogs weren't out at the time. Oh well, it could have been a lot worse.
Ron, I swear when I saw your post I thought it was a joke...something you pulled of the internet maybe! Of course, I read on to see this is no laughing matter. I join everyone in saying that I'm thrilled you had a brick wall to help wake him before he hit the house. Wow...
boy this just shows ya. IF U R TIRED PULL OVER!
I don't understand why this is so hard for people to get through their head. Nothing is worth it. Glad everything is alright...Well atleast you not your fence.
Glad no one got hurt. When I started looking at it I just knew we were going to see this on an epsiode of COPS. There we would be chasing a carjacker who had just run through the spikes and was looking to jump out (his accomplice was dragged for two blocks before he got back in). Bang he goes through Ron's wall and there is Ron standing in front of the MES (in his underwear no less) with a WTF look on his face. About that time Flash the canine unit comes by hot on the trail of the bad guy for an eventual take down just as the guy tries to climb the other wall. But I digress...LOL
Ron - glad that you are both OK and that the house was spared.
Wow that was close - we had a similar experience a few years ago - we lived on a corner at a stop sign. Kid lost control and actually hit the front of the house and sheared off the hose bib. We had water everywhere since the car was stuck in the planter and paralell to the house. What a mess. Wife and I were not home and Fire Dept had to shut off water at the street - no insurance
Well the dreaded thing happened. Our buddy Jackpot got an itch to take a tour of the neighborhood. I guesss he walked over the bricks. Don't know how long he was gone, probably not too long. Carol went one way, me the other. After about 5 minutes Carol called and said she had him on the next street running in the middle of the street. All the while she heard the cyotes howling, they would have torn him to shreds, as they roam in packs. I do live in the city BTW. I think he heard me callling his name and was coming toward home.
I need to get a few more bids and get this done and secured. Man, what a scare.
You know, if maybe you'd take a couple of days off from the smoker, those coyotes might leave the city and go back into the hills. They're just coming down wondering what that wonderful smell is. LOL
Just teasing, glad everything's ok. Now go buy a leash.
