Holiday Finger Foods

Looking for ideas on holiday finger foods. The family is all turkeyed out......

I am thinking I will smoke a ham and a butt and do sliders for the "meat." Maybe brisket instead of of one or the other.

Looking for other neat and tasty ideas, trying to keep it simple and as finger foody as possible.

My wife and I pride ourselves on our "appetitos" when we host. The key to success is to cover a wide range instead of specific dishes. Think cold, hot, sweet, spicy, salty, etc.

We rotate in other stuff but the standards are veggie tray with dip, veggie pizza, meat balls in marinara, killer wings from local bar, bacon wrapped water chestnuts with hot sauce, roast beef sliders, and Christmas cookies. It's scary because you never get really burnt out and can just about eat constantly or "graze" as we say.

Man there is a lot of great ideas there!
Smoked cheese, smoked sausage, smoked fish dip, & ABT's are all big favorites around here.
Lox wrapped around a piece of cream cheese is another good one.

I'm doing an app/finger food lunch for Christmas day and one thing I'm serving is Chicken taco Abts. i found a recipe for them on here. I don't have it handy but feel free to do a search for it. Im also doing sweet ABTs with strawberry cream cheese and sweet peppers.

If it's from this post
Don't mix the cream cheese with the chicken, use a bit of chicken stock, if you want to use cream cheese, stuff the pepper with cream cheese first then add the Chicken.

Oh i wasn't going to use cream cheese on the chicken taco abts i was going to have two kinds of abts at my party because my family loves them!

I've done the pork belly burnt ends and smoked meatballs which turned out fantastic. Recipes from this site I believe. All bit sized...adults and kids devoured them in no time.

Sqwib, why not mix the chicken with cream cheese ? in the thread you referenced you clearly did and I see no mention of it not going well. What went wrong ??

Pork belly burnt ends, Moinks, wings, pulled pork sliders, fatty sliders are always a big hit around my house.
