New to SmokingMeatForums.com.  From Bend Oregon, just got started with a pellet grill this summer (Green Mountain Jim Bowie), and have been smoking/grilling a ton.  Have Pizza Oven attachment and GrillGrates.... that's about it so far as significant accessories.

What I've cooked/smoked so far:

Pork Shoulder (pulled pork)

Baby Back Ribs

Brisket

Salmon (Grilled)

Halibut (Grilled

Pizza (getting it nailed, after a bit of a learning curve)

Beercan Chicken

Chicken parts (thighs/breasts, etc.)

Salmon (smoked)

Burgers

Twisted bacon cheese sticks (excellent)

Peaches (amazing)

Squash

Baked potatoes

Looking forward to hearing from you guys (got a pork shoulder smoking right now)

Welcome to the board, and you're already having a blast. I've never watched anyone run a pellet rig so I don't know diggety doodley about them. Except what I read on the internet.

Jump into the conversations.

"You said salmon twice."

"I like salmon."

Since you mention grilling salmon and smoking salmon, don't you find there's a middle ground where it's either a long grill or a short smoke? And then you have a choice of what end result you want. Is it a mild large serving, or an intense smoky maybe spicy thing to flake on to crackers? Alongside some of that Oregon rye.

Welcome from down the hill in Albany.

Is your air clearing up? Down here in the Willamette Valley last week you could just set meat outside to smoke it. This week has been clear.

Welcome to the forum from west of you in Junction City, OR. Sounds like a lot fun has been already had we haven't seen, pictures or it didn't happen! ;-) Hope you enjoy the great group and ideas here.
