Im from Oklahoma City Oklahoma.  My hubby bought a Traeger Select for me about a year ago.  I need help. I bought a 14 lb boneless prime rib that I need to cook on Christmas. Never tried this before. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the group Marva, from another Oklahoman!  This is the best place I know for sharing ideas on smoking, grilling, curing, etc.  There are plenty of friendly, knowledgeable folks who really enjoy helping one another.  Looking forward to your input here, and just ask when you need anything...someone here will surely have the answer.

Smoked Prime Rib is awsome, and really pretty easy...Here's a great step by step thread from Bearcarver on smoking a prime rib:

Good luck!  Be sure to let us know how it goes.

Hi Marva and welcome to SMF. Our very own TulsaJeff (Forum Owner) as another website Smoking-Meat.com that contains the Newletters that he send out once a week. You can sign up to receive the newsletters on the Smoking-Meat site Jeff has a couple of Prime/Standing Rib Roast newsletters that you may find useful: http://www.smoking-meat.com/tag/prime-rib

Red has also posted a link to another great Rib Roast how to by our very talented Bearcarver. Hopefully some of our members that use the Treager Units will jump in with their 2¢ and help a lady out.

Enjoy the Smoke!
