Just got a good deal on the weber smoke fire so this will be my second machine. My first one was the master built charcoal gravity series. That thing made great BBQ but was a terrible thing to work with. I plan on brisket #1 this next weekend, and possibly some ribs following that. After reading it looks like pellet grills are fine but don't achieve a great bark, so I will be trying to work on that.

Take all that and form your own opinion .
Number one thing is to follow the directions for start up and shut down , as well as where to set it up . That goes for any pellet grill .

I have an EX4 Gen 2 . This is the first brisket I did on it . I put it on the main rack , and it dried the bottom edge out some .


So If I use the SmokeFire , I use the top rack now .
Set up like this . Use a drip pan .


Makes a great brisket . Plenty of smoke profile too .

Weber EX4 pellet grill

I bought this back in July . Really didn't need one . Really never thought I would ever buy a pellet grill . Since I've been cutting my own hair for the last 2 years ( covid ) , and saving 20 bucks every couple weeks I had some extra money . I like my Weber stuff . I liked the looks of the EX4...
