Wanted to say hello,I've been lurking for a couple of months now, reading suggestions and tips on smoking. I'm new to this so it's been very helpful so far.

A little about myself,my name is Chris. I'm from the upstate SC area. I'm a big fisherman, hunt a little. Love college football and my Clemson Tigers.

I have a Charbroil Hando Classic smoker that I got as a gift from my wife for Christmas. So far I've smoked a butt twice and both times it turned out great. Going to give ribs a try this weekend. Hope they turn out as well as the butt did.

Thanks for reading. I'll continue to lurk and read but may join in on some conversation now.

Thanks Joe. I've been reading a lot the past month and there's a ton of information. It's a little overwhelming

Decide what you want to smoke.
Go to the smoking meats section and look up your choice.
Check out the various recipes and tips.
If you have any particular question, post it and keep a list of answers.
Always keep a log of your cooks and refer to it often.

Good luck. If you have any special needs, just PM me and I'll get back to you.
