I'm new to SMF but not to good eating. I've been cooking and grilling for over 30 years but am just now starting to get into smoking and loving it. I have a drum, side box smoker for now but hope to move to bigger and better as I perfect my craft. I've used the 2-2-1 method for babybacks and have been told that they were perfection.  My question currently is for a Turkey this Thanksgiving.  Can you or should you brine and inject the turkey or just one or the other and does anyone have a good brine recipe??  Thanks for any and all comments and/or suggestions.  Bill

Welcome to SMF...I personally brined and injected turkeys. I like them both ways. I would suggest that you do them both ways and see which you like better...I am a salty guy so brined seem to be a favorite of mine. Both give you a great bird....Good luck....
