Master of the Pit
Well, that's how I remember it, but it was almost 40 years ago and my memory isn't as good...well, maybe never was. I did not realize how naive I was. Stupid me thought people loved Americans then. And having red hair HAD to make the Irish love me....right?! Like a dumbarse I thought bringing my bright red white and blue U.S.A. emblazoned sweatshirt was a good idea. It drew shouts of "yankee go home!" from a distance walking down the street. I was lucky I didn't get my arse kicked...the girls found us Americans and Canadians very interesting, the local men and boys...not so much.Did you drink Guinness In Cork? That was Brave!
Dublin=Guinness Cork= Murphys.
I was confused...I'm "Virginian". I'm thinking, "take that one up with Robert E Lee!". "Yankees" start at Maryland and Northwards! I'm much smarter these days and stay where I belong. Hell, a Virginia boy dont even belong in Texas, they call ME a freaking Yankee down there too!...WTF is up with that? I dont need either place, I got all I need right here in the Piedmont of VA.
