Hello all,

In my quest to become a better cook and to learn more, I am all in.....bought the recipes, bought the book, signed up for the news letter and am doing a lot of reading.  Now to be honest, I belong to several forums, but so far Smoking Meat has a slightly different approach, sometimes away from the traditional "norm" which I like.....a chance for variation.

I am a bit surprised that the Pit Barrel Smoker is not among the smokers listed...I have had one for several months and for me, it is the best smoker I have ever tried and trust me, there have been a few.  I also grill with the traditional 22 inch Weber with a Smoke and Sear insert.  I also have a 26 inch coal grate for it to raise the charcoal for a hotter fire or when using the pizza oven.

I am not sure why the smoked meatloaf  recipe drew me in, but it did.  I have seen others, but this one looked amazing and I LOVE meat loaf sandwiches...in fact, I might do one just for the sandwiches!

Anyway, glad to be here......and enjoy the New Year!
