View attachment 727827 When I bought mine. I bought one for it thinking it would be needed after reading about this issue. Come to find out. My model year has baffles built in to correct that. And it isn't recommended. I've never had a problem. So it is just laying around in the garage somewhere.

Very similar, little more material for my model I think. My tarp unit works pretty good, zip tie it in place

Basement snow removal... this will be a first !

We got about 3" yesterday/overnight. Not enough to worry about, sunshine all day today brought it down to an inch or so. Tomorrow into Wed we are supposed to get 5-6" so might have to break out the snowblower. Though, the next week or so is going to warm up into the 40s to 50s with sunshine. We'll see.

Funny thing is the county plowed the roads this morning. I was a bit surprised at that.

It finally snowed enough to mention! Woke up to 6" and supposed to snow all day till early evening. I am confident this is the latest I ever fired up the snowblower. As luck would have it, I was 1/4 of the way through the driveway and sheered a sheer bolt. Good thing I have a big ole bag of them.

I bought a new to me backup tractor snowblower 3yrs ago for my JD 4020 and Saturday was the first time I actually moved snow with it, mostly for testing purposes as I used the loader on Tuesday to do my clearing because I needed to get a new quick hitch which I finally found Saturday morning without ordering.

I bought some last year after shearing one. And wonders of wonders. I can't find them. Bought more. And they are in the tractor console!

Cheap but cant go without. When we lived in the city it was rare to sheer them. Now we live in the mtns on a steep slope and the deer and erosion knock granite rocks down all the time. I keep a bag of them with the two wrenches together so I dont freeze my fingers too bad swapping them out.

Dang ya'll already fighting snow!
Here I am with 20 low and 40-45 highs. Running torpedo heaters in garage already.
