Pork Rib Poast ( another indoor storm cook ) These weekend storms have got to stop.

More wind than snow, buy really cold again.

Nice pork roast, and at $1.77 pound , not bad for lately.

Nice coating of Montreal Steak spice, had a nice fat cap to it . Into the oven for about 3 hours .

Out and tented for about 20 minutes while I finished up the root veg , potatoes and carrots. And made a great gravy from the pan juices and axtras.

plus fried up lots of onions in some of the pan juice also.

Sliced meat, mashed the spuds and buttered up the carrots

And sat down to eat.

Well thats it , two plates and it was time for a big nap.

The pork was very tender and the MSS was very good on the pork.

Ladies loved it , so I win for me.

Now if that ground Hog sees his shadow today, someone is shining a light on him. I dought he will even come out of his home today. fingers crossed for an early spring.

Thanks for looking

David

That looks good David!! I wish I could get roasts like that here. Back years ago I could, but nobody cuts meat anymore. All bone-in pork comes in pre-cut at all the grocery stores and there's never any bone-in roasts. No bandsaws in any of the stores, I guess it's a liability thing...

Indoors outdoors who cares! That is awesome!

That storm completely missed us this time but we have a clipper coming through Friday night and once again it'll be windy with single digit temps.I'll be wrapping the 'ol MES in the welding blanket for Superbowl.

Damned if that ain't a picture in a magazine... I'm usually only a single plater... But I believe I'd have to go back for a second one... mmm mmmMM MMMMMM...

It was a very good meal.

That is too bad. Around here there are lots of meat cutters, at every big chain grocery store. and a few small just meat shops. Beef prices really suck lately, But the pork and chicken , go on sale at the meat shops.

That is a pretty standard cut for pork roasts and the sale price at $1.77 is not bad for lately.

I just picked up yesterday on my way back from the cottage working to the meatshop ( called " Gateway " ) and picked up a few really nice Pork shoulder Butt roasts for the same price $ 3.91 kg or I think $1.77 pound.

Hopfully make some Buckboard Bacon with them, or at least 1.

Thats what I thought, but Have not smoked anything for a while as very bust with work and the storms just keep coming through.
And it was a great meal.

Well it is Sunday morning now and yesterday I was working at the cottage and real nice day there, got home and there was an inch plus of snow down. But today and tomorrow just cold no storm, Not bad 1 out of the last 5 weekends .

Hope you have a goos day today with your Superbowl smoke.

Beautiful meal...and I've seen those mustard pickles before!

Thanks Ken for the like and the comment

It was a very good meal and I do love my pickles. Wish I could say these were mine , but I did no preserves last summer as working at the cottage all year.

But I am hopeing this year I will find time to do up my pickles, jams and jellies.

That is very nice of you to say. It was a pretty roast right out of the oven, and smelled even better.

Yes it was a two plater for sure.
