I bought this NY strip steak from H-E-B for $10.99/lb the other day and thought to myself, this is way too good to be true. The taste, marbling and texture were amazing, and honestly, it was some of the best steak I’ve ever had. I can’t help but think they mislabeled this cut or used the wrong cut of steak for their special. What do y’all think?

I think I would've bought every one they had, and asked for a rain-check to boot.
That looks amazing!!!

I bought 4 as it said max 4/pp
I get around that by buying the max, taking it out to the car.
Then going back in to get the max and going to a different checker.
Or you can use a friends or family membership number if they require that. I do this all the time. If it's something I really want, I've done it up to four times by going to a different checker each time. Personally I don't think they give a hoot as long as it's selling.

Looks mighty tasty and butchers will often be forced to down label prime grade stuff to move it for freshness, and some choice comes in really nice.

When I shop, I always sort through the choice bin to look for prime level as somethings you can get a better grade that way than even just grabbing a prime rated cut.....
