Green or Not?

I notice some SMF premier members are green and some are not. I read the post where green was going away. Whats up? Green or not?

The greenies are premium members, and blue are standard members. I think an OTBS member gets a royal blue color, and some of them requested to stay that way even if they have a premium membership. Not certain, but that's the way it looks to me.

Since we are asking these type of questions, whats "rep power"?

In the last few days, a change was made to help support the site. If you donated $15 to SMF/Jeff, you got a green color. The $15 was to keep an informative collection of people connected through a valuable resource.

As people paid, some felt kind of out of place and it was perceived that by indentifiying those that paid, it also showed those that did not. Either way is fine and everyone hopefully contributes in their own way.

Long story short, as best I understand it at this point, those that were green were changed back to status quo so we all "look' the same except the OTBS members. There may be an option to back to green if one wants to do that but I haven't botherd to look as I'm fine with the changes.

Perhaps Jeff can chime in if I've missed something.

Either way, if you can find another resource and/or book for $15 with all the information with the ability to ask questions and get answers, well then I'm all ears. This is a fine bunch of folks and I personally appreciate it and all the help.

I pretty much agree with all you have just said! I paid too, but, thats because I wanted too. Best 15 bucks I have spent all year !

It seems that most folks want to keep their original colors especially the OTBS members however, I would like for those of you who are not OTBS members to wear your green proudly.

I am changing folks to green by request at this time. If you like the green and wish to wear it proudly then shoot me a PM and I will gladly change it.. it is as simple as a click of the mouse.

I have changed a few of you already who have expressed (in a post) the desire to be "green".
