Good price for some wood

Hello I am fairly new to smoking and have been using pecan wood and neighbor gave me. I saw a deal for some apple wood splits and I'm interested in using apple. He's asking $30 for a 3x3 stack
Is that a good price to pay?

Yes that is a fair price. I use to buy Hickory at $200 per rack

I've noticed around here apple is hard to come by unless it's at a winery but most the time big time BBQs have already got that gobbled up before anybody has a chance

That's a great deal deal, 1 yard for 30$. I was gona put up a wheel barrow full of good apple, maple or oak etc. on CL for 30$. Great for campers and BBQ guys. 3 pices of wood from Fred Meyers cost 6$ lol
