EDIT: Dinner is on page 2, post #23

Have one of my wife's friends who bought a house across the street from us, they're still in the moving-in phase.
My wife invited them for dinner and volunteered me to BBQ.
Oh darn... Must I? :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Got up at 0400am to finish prepping and start two butts on the smoker.
I gave them a good rub last night and then like always I wrapped them and let them sit overnight, then another generous layer of rub before going on the smoker.

And of course, just like times past, an early morning demands a good breakfast.

Yesterday I made Apple Cranberry Sweet Slaw and Cowboy Caviar with Guacamole.
And this morning I also started prepping a Bacon-n-Cheddar Potato Salad.

I'll also be making Savory Southwestern Waffles, a veggie tray with dip, and there's Sherbet for dessert.

The breakfast looks good. Did your score the butts or did that come that way ? Very nice to cook for the neighbors.

Boneless butts that I tie up real tight to promote even cooking.
Any more houses for sale on your street? If you feed neighbors like that i just might move!!!!
In for the finish.

Two or three in the neighborhood, but no more within a block on our street.

OK I need to greatly increase the amount of rub I use on pork butt based on those pics!

I’m in.

The chedder n bacon potato salad sounds good.
The potato salad came out like a super lumpy loaded mashed taters.
I overcooked the taters a little and they broke down a bit while folding it all together.
Still really good though, I had a small bowl at lunch.
