Ok....So I'm still waiting for Lowes to have the new Master Forge Double Door Propane Smoker available so I can place my order.

In the mean time I've begun to get some wood ready......think this will be enough to get me started?  Let me know.....

Hi Al......About 98% of our heating is with wood so chain saw and wood splitter are part of our landscape.

Some of what you see is Oak, Hickory and Maple so yesterday I did go out and cut some 2,3 and 4 inch rounds so they can at least start to dry. Maybe I can use them for smoke a few months from now.

Roller, Do you think it would be usable by fall or should I just figure on using it next year? It's definitly green right now but I was hopin by cutting it in 2 to 4 inch rounds it would season a little more quickly.

I think it will be fine after it goes through the summer heat....and you do want to use a small amount of green but not to much..

That white stuff on the ground won't be helping your cause!

But it doesn't look like you will run out of wood anytime soon.

Good luck and good smoking.
