hi all, well, I did it again, my stupidity came out, even at my age, I still do dumb things.
coming back to Brownsville from Austin,tx. yesterday, hit a garage sale along the road. lo and behold on a table sits a game winner 5# stuffer. $5.00 says the price tag, all there I say? oh yeh the guy says, never used. box looked new, so bought it. today I opened it up, yep. new all right, but one little problem. no piston or piston gasket.
now, what to do? I have been looking on the internet for parts and not really finding too much.
does anybody here know where to look for parts? maybe a different brand would fit. I,m a little pissed off, but not quite ready to toss it. if I was back in my old area, the guys in the mill would make me one overnite for sure.
oh well, my new motto is live and don"t learn. any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
RWB

Weston website was not that helpful, but in think I found the parts I need on the lem website. about $15.00 dollars for what I need. this makes it a 20.00 stuffer. I'm happy.

RWB, The diameter will be easier to find than matching the threads from your stuffer rod and the new piston IMHO.

Sorry to hear about the headache.
It won't be the cheapest solution but if you can't find the parts to fit it you can always buy a used one on ebay. There is one for sale right now for $80.

Now that might still be pricey but look at it like this. You would then have 2 stuff containers to use.
This is actually a big deal because the 5 pound containers really only hold like 4 pounds and if you do any significant amount of sausage (20 pounds+) stuffing you will waste soooooo much time refilling that it becomes a pain in the butt. Just think 20 pounds of sausage at 4 pounds = 5 stuffer refills!!!!
With two stuffer containers you can always have one ready to reload very quickly and basically you more than doubled your productivity via that $5 you spent :emoji_sunglasses::emoji_blush:

You come out looking like a genius!!!
After 2 years of deer processing with a 5 pound stuffer I quickly upraded to a 10Liter/22-23 pound stuffer so I could stuff 80+ pounds of sausage into casings and about 35 pounds of pure ground venison into burger bags super fast!
When messing with that much meat the fewer reloadings become a life saver.

Anyhow I hope this info helps and puts some perspective on how good you may have just come out getting those parts for $5 :emoji_blush:
