Out from under the ice and back at it.

I used Sweet Baby Ray's sauce for the first time. I'd heard so much about it from all the nor'easterners. I thought it would be good on the side, but it was a bit thicker than I like as a glaze.

Know what you mean about thick

..I have watered it down to the proper consistency for mopping and its not bad....not bad at all :!:

Sweetbabyrays is a bargain price and good product for my 2cts :P
Learned to mop only the last 30 minutes so it doesn't blacken up.

Good looking ribs there Dickeydoo :)

Great looking ribs DDBBQ. If you liked the overall taste of the sauce maybe you could cut it with some Apple Juice or something similiar. I like all kinds of different fruit juices.

Good lookin grub SmkyOky_doobbq I bet they're long gone now.

Honest Joe - Food Pics = pictures of food taken before, during, or after the smoke, nothing dirty unless you drop it on the ground

I like to use Sweet Baby Ray's now and again. If you find it a bit thick you could always thin it with a couple of ounces (or to taste ) of some fine Kentucky or Tennessee sipping whisky! Nice looking ribs, BTW!!

caramelization requires heat, sugar and fat put them togetherin the correct proportion and you will caramelize. I think what you are referring to is the bark. It is caused by sugars burning on the meat during smoking. It is considered a delicacy in my home.
