I made some cornbread today, never tried it before, but it tastes good!  I got the recipe out of the bread section, I will be making some more tomorrow I think.

Now I need something to go with it.

Cut you a slice....put some butter on it...dive right in!  Looks PERFECT!

Looks great Gary.

Goes really good with chilli, fried catfish or a big ol' bowl of seasoned pinto beans. Dang, now I'm hungry again.

Hi Gary

Nice 1st try, looks good.

I have a pot of pinto beans on as we speak, seasoned with a ham bone and a few extra chunks thrown in. One of the staples of life around my neck of the woods.

You might try kicking it up a notch(the cornbread) with a couple of diced jalapenos, a diced onion, a can of drained whole kernel corn, and a handful of sharp cheddar cheese. Beans and cornbread with fried potatoes, just don't get no better than that.

Catch ya later, Phillip

Have to agree with all suggestions, I've tried it with butter, and butter & honey, both winners, didn't have any Maple syrup, but it's on the list.  Next one will be with beans and ham and also chilli from this site.  LOL, I've only just finished my dinner and I feel hungry again.
