First time smoker

Just gotta MES 30 as a gift and would like to do a turkey for new years. Don't know anything about smoking, where do I start?

Glad you joined us Tinner and congrats on the new MES! :welcome1:
Do a little research here on the forums and I would suggest a first smoke of pork butt for some pulled pork before you do your turkey as it is a forgiving smoke that will allow you to get use to using the MES and also add some tasty seasoning to the MES.
