So,over a year ago my plan was to buy this unit and do the mods over the winter for spring. Things happen and was never bought. Fast forward-Just got another $100 in amazon points from work along with last years $100,the smoker ended up costing me $37. It'll be a nice winter project to work on as I continue therapy and get stronger. Ordered silicone and nomex for sealing and have accumulated metal for diffuser plate and some other mods. My daughter will be fabricating and welding a frame that it will be mounted to with wheels. Have had alot of downtime to design and taken alot of notes from other dyna mods over the last year. Cant wait.

So before assembly I put a lantern in fire box and closed it up to check for light leaks around air baffle plate. When plate is punched it rolls and leaves open gap around .02+/-" when in the closed position. Made up template and proofed it then transfered to sheet. Will laminate to stock baffle to fully cut off air. Hopefully get metalwork done this week.
