Evening fellas and non fellas....and those who aren't sure. Cooked us up a low carb meal tonight. Turned out delicious. If you like eggrolls give this a try!

1lb ground pork( or pulled pork)
8c slaw mix( or shred some cabbage)
1/2c chopped green onion
2-3 T soy sauce
1-2T grated ginger( or paste)
1t garlic powder ( can use minced)

Fry up the pork. Then add the cabbage, onions, Garlic, ginger, and soy sauce. Cook until veggies are tender

Portion out into bowls. I added some of this spicy fried chili's to mine and Emily's. Stuff is delicious in all kids of dishes

Here's my bowl with the chili's some chow mein and some sesame seeds.

Delicious quick meal

Looks fantastic Jake! We also do this egg roll in a bowl at times. I sometimes serve it in little steamed cabbage cups. My wife loves it. If you want to try a little spin on the flavor try adding some cilantro, Chinese 5 spice and a little toasted sesame oil.

Thanks Jeff. It was definitely the wifes request. She's been asking for months. I was sceptical but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Wish I'd known about the cabbage bowls before hand that would have blown her mind lol

My wife loves deconstructed foods to reduce the carbs.
Has anyone tried a deep fried cabbage roll? I don't think it would go, but looking for ideas on alternatives.

Hey, that's not smoked meat. :emoji_stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Lol, looks tasty.
Jake offered (smoked?) pulled pork as an alternative.
I like egg rolls with bacon. I didn't believe it was flavor combo. Oh I was wrong.

Jake was kind enough to PM me when I joined since we both have Bell Fab smokers. Just messing with him a little.

Looks fantastic Jake! I tried making this before. But was unimpressed with the results. Now I think I see my mistake. I was steaming the cabbage (slaw mix) then mixing with the meat after the meat was cooked. And in the bowl. I'm betting that frying it does the trick I was overlooking.

Thanks Steve and yep just throw it all together in the same skillet. Don't drain any grease from the pork and just let all those flavors develop. We thought it was delicious
