Kids are in Columbia Maryland and felt it to the point one of them almost "pooped" themselves, but all OK!

was at a buddys house  havin a brew sittin in one of those plastic chairs and it rocked for 45 seconds. I also watched my dodge ram parked in front of me wobble for about 15 seconds..... It was my first earthquake.... weird...... glad it wasnt  worse....

Shook the house here pretty strongly for about 25 seconds ............went outside and got to meet a bunch a neighbors ......waittin fer the after shock now

Work in a print shop in Maryland-the entire place a huge solid concrete slab and was in disbelief when the whole place started shaking-I mean really shaking. Wow!

First time I ever felt any part of an earthquake (62 1/2 years).

I was taking my BP at the time (sitting still & quiet), or I would have never felt it.

My chair didn't shake---It kinda "wavered" for less than 10 seconds (all I noticed).

I even looked under my chair, because the cat usually lays under my chair when I sit there, but it wasn't him bumping the chair.

Then I turned the TV on & heard all about it.

I think it would take a lot to bring down a well constructed Log Home.  (I hope---LOL)

I grew up about 2 miles from San Andreas fault line in Calif., I've had my share of rock and rollers over the years. I'll take that over a hurricane or tornado anyday.

I was motoring up the 79 in WV. and felt it.(or was that just the Chitty interstate)

i was having lunch with a friend in Gaithersburg, MD at a Roy Rogers. He looks at me and says, "Did you feel that?" Then the whole place started oscillating. It was like somebody grabbed the side of the building and was shaking it side to side. No damage other than the stubbed toe I suffered as I was running out screaming like a little girl. Worst part was I couldn't get through to my wife in DC for almost a half hour, and at first didn't know for sure it was an earthquake.

Felt it here in Akron, Ohio.  My office is on the second floor of a three story bldg.  It was swaying, and my blinds were rattling.  Brought some diversion to the afternoon!

ill take a hurricane any day over a quake,,,   at least we know its coming and can prep for it!

hope everyone is ok and noone got any damage to their smokers
