One of the pleasures of duck hunting is breakfast in the blind, usualy just sausage and egg scramble in a tortia.  Was thinking of doing up a breakfast fatty but wonder how to warm it up.  Just slice and throw it in the skillet till warm?  Making myself hungery here - Any body out there w/ a favorite blind recipie?

Missed-Em, morning.... After the first flight, we would clean the birds cavities and fry up gizzards, hearts, livers and breasts of the smaller birds for brunch....  lemon pepper for a seasoning and a little red wine to deglaze the pan....   Those days are still fresh in my memories...

I don't duck hunt but the BF does every year. He takes breakfast fatties (scrambled eggs, hash browns, cheese, peppers and onions), I slice it up and vac seal. They just reheat in a bit of butter, add another hard fried egg, cheese on a bagel. After that they skip lunch!!!

I make them for him here at home the same way.

You can use a little camp stove like a whisper lite and heat up a little bowl of water. Almost boiling. Put the fatties in a ziplock bag and roll it up tight. Drop those is the warm water for a few minutes and that will put some heat into the fatties. Or hell, just bring a skillet like you suggest.

Gettin hungry - Hope hunting is better this year, too much time between chances last year.  Frying up a teal or woody breast sounds promising - I just need someone who's better at cooking than me (and a better shot obviously)!
