Collagen casings

I recently bought a case of mahogany collagen casings 21mm.
I bought them as over the long run it is 1/4 of the cost of buying as I need them.

How long will they last? Will they dry out? Go rancid?

My plan was to cryovac them either way this weekend but I was just curious.

I'm not a sausage guru, but I keep mine in the fridge.

They start to dry out after a couple of years, but they are not vac packed.

Don't crush them... store them in a jar, like a 1 quart or 2 quart jar in the refer...   They are edible...

i have had some in the fridge for about  2 1/2 years and made a test batch of sausage in August  and they were still good

Vac seal em and keep in fridge.
