My typos and I have returned.

I'd encountered some automotive issues that bogged me down, and kept me from my hobbies for a while, but I'm back.

Long story short, this coming summer, my beloved First-Gen Toyota 4X4 pickup will have to go under the knife for a new motor, but considering that's one every 30 years and 300K miles, I can live with that. Besides, I know keeping this truck and maintaining it will pay itself forward better than jumping ship for a newer truck.

Anywho, I just wanted to let you guys know I haven't forgotten about you, and that I'm excited to continue learning for the brilliant minds here on SMF.

goals for this coming year:

-Finally get an AMNS

-smoke anything I can lay my hands on

-learn all about cold-smoking. I'm itching to try some home-made andouille!

I'll drink to that!

This thing's the toughest little truck I've ever met. When the timing chain slipped, I limped it about 30 miles on two cylinders.

I've hit two deer, and so far, my only regrets are the fact they occurred on my commute to work, and I wouldn't have been able to clean 'em, and put 'em on the smoker.

So, my perspective is that I think this truck will handle a long life with a new motor every now and again.
