Chicken for the first time

    Did one with brine the other is not, both been injected, now just letting rest until cooking time. Going to be hitting a temp of 275-300

    Thanks I'm throwing them on in 2 hours just letting the rub sit on them for awhile

    Well thank you, I can tell you the one with brine has a big difference, I gave each piece to my wife and asked her which one tasted better she pointed out the brine everytime

    1 ½ Gal Water
    ½ C Salt 
    ½ C Sugar
    2 tsp Garlic Powder

    yeah i really did like it left it in there for 12 hours, then injected with apple juice and my rub

    I love tests like this. Bearcarver has some magnificent posts where he gives the results of, in some cases, almost a dozen trials, each using different ingredients or techniques.
