I waited most of the day for my Camp Chef SmokePro SE to arrive after finally finding one at a decent price. I had the FedEx guy wheel the box into the garage and immediately went to work. I followed the instructions but the legs looked like they were at a weird angle - when I tried to put the braces for the legs on I saw that none of the holes lined up. I tried everything from switching the legs around, etc. but nothing worked.
I called CampChef and found that I have either two front legs and no rear legs - or two rear legs and no front legs - which means I can't use it. They are sending me a set of each (front and rear) and I'm hoping they'll be here before Christmas.

The legs got here today! They shipped them Fed-Ex 2 Day on Wednesday. We got home a little after 10 tonight so of course there was no way I was going to wait until a decent hour or daylight. Fully assembled in the garage in about an hour and ready for the break-in this weekend. Now I just have to decide what I'm going to cook first!

I'm happy to hear they took care of your. Now enjoy that smoker.

I did a couple racks of BB ribs for the first cook on my 1300. They came out great and kind of sold me on pellet cooking flavor.

Ribs and Butts and Breasts and Legs and Thighs and Wings and Burgers and Dogs...
And visions of Sugar Plums danced in their heads.
Beer and Ice! It's a safety requirement!
Have fun, remember the break in run!

You'll be smoked for Christmas,
You can count on that....
You'll be smoked for Christmas,
And your dreams will be of Brats....

Sorry it's been a few days! Just an update:

My first cook on it was a couple of New York Strips, package of Chicken Tender Breasts, and some grilled veggies! They all turned out great!
The very next night - Christmas Eve - was more NY Strips and grilled veggies - again they all turned out great!
A couple of days later was various sausages (Beef, Chicken, Pork) along with more grilled veggies
My wife is obsessed with the taste of grilled veggies ever since I first tried them on our old propane grill months ago so she wants them all of the time.

A brief history is that earlier in December I found that my propane grill was rusting to the point that there were holes in the firebox - so obviously I wasn't going to use it. Rather than just go get something cheap or whatever I decided that I really wanted a pellet grill and went without a grill for a few weeks. I'm glad I made that choice.
The only thing that I have to get used to with a pellet grill is being patient and trusting it. I'm used to my old propane grill that cooked everything very quickly - to the point that I had to watch it (or maybe I didn't - I don't know) so I didn't burn anything or have a flare-up. The pellet grill takes longer but the taste is worth it.

I was looking at getting the sear box but as luck would have it I was gifted a nice Charbroil five burner propane grill. I know it won't get as hot as the sear box but I can still get a really nice sear with it along with having more cooking space. The sear box would use propane anyway so why not. :)
