That looks great Case. Successful first cook.
I need more info on the brick charcoal
You must be like a kid on X-mas morning.Got to play with 2 new things tonight.I found a store in PA that I can get it shipped to my door for $2.27/# but you have to buy 6 boxes -30 #'s = just under $69.Curious how it would work in the 14.5 WSM...
Here it is at Walmart also for a few bucks more.Adam,it ships from Harrisburg.

Definitely keep me posted on that.I was wondering if the elevated cost of it would pay for itself in burn time/#'s used.I think it would work great. That’s next. I have half a box left. Not sure what i’ll cook. It’ll be a long one.
Because i’ll be using the side light method. 60-80 hour cook. Could be the thing!
6 - 5 pound boxes - 30 pounds. If you could fire a small smoker with 3 or 4 sticks of it, it would be well worth it.6 briqs for that price? Wow
Ok. I was thinking of my mini.
I could see 3-4 hunks in a mini, 14.5 lasting 6-12 hours at temps around 265-285. I’ll be playing a bit with what I have.
There are 14 sticks in a 5 # box, correct?I could see 3-4 hunks in a mini, 14.5 lasting 6-12 hours at temps around 265-285. I’ll be playing a bit with what I have.
Good looking wings there Case. Looking forward to the charcoal results in the Mini. Is there any recognizable flavor from the straight charcoal?
The Title had me wondering LOL That charcoal sure does look like an inferno, the wings look good. Were you able to save the coal ?
