Equal parts Buttermilk and Franks is what I have my wings marinating in. I may inject them but not positive on that. Going to do the inaugural cook on the Lodge Sportsman later today!

Photos later.

Made a Dutch Baby this morning using the remaining buttermilk. It was okay but it didn’t rise like the ones we make using NFDM.

Nice! Looking forward to some crispy skin wings. Here is a pic of my homemade hibachi,it's a G16 Franklin fireplace grate and and a unused gasser grate. KIMG0131.jpg KIMG0129.jpg

Now I have to figure out how many pieces and how to light this stuff!

Yeah I saw that. There’s instructions in the box too. Still not sure how many to use. Guess I’ll line the bottom and maybe a single row above that.

That was a video. You get arm tats and give thumbs up and it lights real good!
Seriously, the vid will give you an (some) idea of how much to use.

I don’t have the wax fire starters so I threw some regular briquettes in the bottom of the chimney to get things going.

HAH! That chimney looks brand new....could't find the old one ?

Yeah about 4 years ago. My old one gave uonje ghost. I bought this one and then instart d using the side light method. So this ones been sitting in my shed ever since. I did use it once a couple years ago to demonstrate cooking over it.
