brinning chicken

    I brined some fish the other day and it came out salty i forgot to rinse itbut im about to smoke chicken quarters and was gona brine em im gona mix 1 gallon water 1 cup salt and 1/2 cup brown sugar,HOW MANY HOURS DO I SOAK THESE CHICKEN QUARTS IN THIS MIX PLEASE HELP DONT WANT SALTY CHICKEN.
