Doin some simple CSRs for tonight’s dinner and tomorrow’s chili. The ones that you can see that are seasoned are for tonight and the unseasoned are gettin some smoke before they go in the pot for tomorrow’s dinner. Lathered in mustard and covered in Tony Chacheres seasoning. Rolling at 275 with mesquite and pecan. Goin sweet tonight so I’ll be moppin with brown sugar based sauce.

Awesome looking plate! Love CSR... never thought of putting them in chili. I will be looking for that post tomorrow for sure. Like.
Thanks Dave, I use left over spare ribs all the time for chili and it’s awesome. The CSRs were on sale so I thought I would give those a try. Hoping for success lol. Thanks for the nice comment

Great looking CSRs! I did some on the 4th, caught a sale! Did you smoke yours to temp? I took mine to 185, and rested. They were awesome that day, but a bit dry when heating for leftovers. Chili may be a better option for the leftovers.

Thanks Mike, I didn’t cook to an exact IT. I checked temp up until it hit 160. When I pulled I wrapped in foil and stuck in the oven for awhile waiting for the sides to finish. I would cook to 195 if I was leaving on the pit the whole time

Nice job on those csr's dcecil. We like to rotate those into our dinner schedule ever once in a while. Never considered them for chili - thanks for the idea.

Point for sure.
