I was in Costco yesterday, and noticed the guy in line ahead of me had a Blackstone grill on his flatbed cart, with a package of frozen burger patties on top. I made a comment to him about it, and he said that his wife and he were in last week and she was on the fence about the Blackstone. Then yesterday it was on sale for $80 less. The wife wasn't with him, so he went ahead and made the executive decision. I said she'll be happy when he serves the burgers.

A little bit of a different take on a burger trick but trust me on this one.

When you want burgers and circumstances don't allow. Maybe camping, or just to do in advance for a 5 minute burger later....

Grill burgers up your favorite way, cool them down and vacuum seal them 1 or 2 per bag and toss in the freezer. All you need when you're ready is hot water, drop the frozen bag in the water and instantly you have a burger that tastes like it just came off the grill, juicy and great.

Travels great in a cooler, easy to do with almost nothing, and is delicious.

Sorry I missed this thread.
I never cook ground beef patties from frozen. Why? They are cooked on an 18" Jumbo Joe kettle. The grill grate and charcoal grate are very close and I use only lump so it is a searing machine. The meat will be charcoal (yah pun intended) on the outside before the center thaws out. My wife is also a no pink center and I do agree with her on store bought. The only ground she will eat is from Aldi so guess what's for supper tonight?
