Getting hard to justify eating a steak here in Hawaii! Look at the price on these per pound at my local Safeway. I can get better prices at Costco but it is still pricey. Sometimes I just want to grab a steak close to home but this makes it hard!!

Same here in California. Expensive.
We have not had a flat cut steak in 2-3 years. We do have a grocery store which has hanger steaks at $17 a pound. They generally weigh 3/4-1 pound. 3/4 pound will feed the two of us with no problem and leave enough leftover for a pasta.

Yeah it is a crazy! My go to is a chuck eye steak which is some what reasonable if I need a steak fix

It sounds like you need to start going to hotel buffets and acting like a Ha'ole to get your beef on. Once they catch on go to the next one.
