Vacation day. I needed a break so I nabbed a Friday. Went to the store and picked up a real nice 6 pounder. Good and plump.
I cut up some Lemmon and limes and stuffed them up the birds nether region topped off with a quick simple truss and a pretty little bow. Two pats of butter under the skin each side of the breast. Some magic dust with a little extra course peppahhh.
I’m going to cook this farm parakeet at 225 - 250 until it reaches an internal temperature of 165 at the breast.

Golly Bri, That thing looks like it grew Hillary Clinton legs.
Are you sure it wasn't fed BS?

Enjoy that beautiful bird!
One of these days I hope to do a whole chicken so I can use some of my cotton line.

A-well, a bird bird bird, bird is the word.

Looks great B. Plump and juicy.

Point for sure.

Have you been in a fowl mood lately. First a turkey now a chicken...

Chris

Sorry B, I meant that to be fowl - not foul. The fingers type quicker then the brain can process.

That looks fantastic . Points for the tuck and tie . Try Dave's injection on your next bird . You'll need two bibs and a roll of paper towels .
