Oh my God David, that looks absolutely incredible. So creative and perfectly executed. I know fully well what I'm gonna make for a side dish next time we have company over for dinner :emoji_wink: Excellent work sir!!

David,

Just a thought.... :emoji_thinking:
  1. Slice the potatoes like you have, layer the slices on a sheet of foil, close it over, punch holes in and place in a non-heated smoker.
  2. Add smoke using only a smoke tube/maze.
  3. You might want to toss the potatoes in a little oil to keep their color and add seasoning to them.
  4. The foil package should keep the slices flat.
  5. How long to smoke is a crap shoot? I'd try 45-60 mins first and if not done, just repack and relight the smoke generator.🍻

John thank you , like I mentioned I went looking but found nothing about that. I like the coat in oil to keep color. Now i just thought i could layer in between wire racks to keep their shape, in the smoker. And could keep an eye on them better also

That's a great idea. Thank you for the thoughts it is making my mind think , love the ideas John

There is an attachment that does not open on your post ???

Thanks, David, for the notice. Must have been a emoji when I cut and pasted some of my post. I just removed it. John

Thanks Jim for the like and the comment

I made a mistake in the title it was suppose to be " Bacon Cheese Potato Dome " that might have caught some other eyes also, lol

It was very good and fun to do, and both me and Mona said we could have had just that. Good thing the other items were mostly just leftovers

Means a lot coming from you the cooks/smokes you have put out. It was fun to build and nervous to cut . Not sure if it would just pour out and fall like a bad cake ... lol
And it tasted great also, and Mona was impressed and love it. So i'm golden today with her.
Also you should give it a whirl.

Robert I have to say that was a nice thing you told Sowsage Sowsage about the computer for his son, you are a very BIG hearted person, thank you
