Just wondering, I ordered some stuff on Dec 4 and haven't heard a peep from them. Also called today to check on it and got the answering machine....leave your name and number and we'll get back to you.
Not like them, but I'm a little disappointed right now.

Never had a problem with them before, but it may be Covid related. Hopefully with the vaccine we will be back to normal in a few months.
I was actually about ready to put in a small order this week, but I think I’ll wait until after the first of the year.

It is probably Covid related.
At the beginning of the month, I placed online orders for a couple of itmes with two big box stores.
The shipments haven't moved and I haven't been able to talk with a live person.
I figure it is "shipageddon" combined with Covid -19.

Keep calling they answer eventually. It had nothing to do with covid. They told me they got swamped with orders. I asked about the cheese being warm and was told they send a cold pack in the box. There was no cold pack when it arrived and not like it would have mattered after 9 days shipping. They said no returns and directed me to their website disclaimer

Not with them (haven't ordered), but about everyone else I buy from online.

does hi temp cheese need refrigeration? i put it in the fridge when it arrived. appearance seemed ok. the casings looked good as usual

If TSM is The Sausage Maker..... I ordered at the beginning of the recent free shipping promotion. I recall that cheese is only shipped on one day per week (I believe Mondays) but at any rate my order showed up 3 days earlier than the tracking details showed, I had 4# of cheese which was in it's own box inside the main box. There were 3 of the gel ice packs in with my cheese an all were quite cold.

Yeah mine was in bags inside the main box no cool packs.

4 boxes of these casings and the cheese in these bags in the middle. No refrigeration a bit of moisture in the sack. Thought I’d ask before throwing it out. I’ve wasted 20 bucks before on a lot less.

I'd think the only issue with the cheese would be mold, open then up in the fridge and let them air out maybe?

Man I'd be happy with just a tracking number
Keep calling and press 0. They will answer and then look up for you. They never gave me one either but were able to track it for me

I tried to place a few orders online and could not get it to go through at all. Finally gave up.

Some good news though. Anyone else get their catalog in the mail? COOL! Old school and informative! The info on cultures I have never seen before.

They have a leave a message tab lower right of the home page . Under shipping info it says Due to people working from home try live chat or email for contact . Maybe you tried that already .

I used to order it from them never any cold packs , but it showed up in a couple days .

I guess the bottom line is to request cold packs with your order. I hope it wasn't a surge in orders and the lack of cold packs on their part.... then they decided to ship anyway.

Mature cheese is fine at room temp. for a little while. It is a dried product so the water activity is low. As mentioned, only concern would be mold, but if the package has not been opened, it should be good. I believe they pack in nitrogen so no oxygen would be present in the bag....
