Wow those are some nice HOTWs.
I only recently found about these gems and the nighttime temps haven't dropped quite enough for me to go searching but today walking the mule (my dog Guinness) without even going into the woods I saw two smaller ones, past their prime but definitely HOTW growing at the base of one standing oak and one fallen down oak tree, can't wait until I can go searching, hoping to find some really good ones like those since noone but me will be searching on 30 acres, half of which is wooded.
 
nice find!!! we call them sheepshead mushrooms up here... remember where you found them. they refruit so to speak in the same place year after year...
 
Man such a find you have those are some fine looking mushrooms
 
I could not help myself today. Went out to check on my other tree stand today and found these about 30 feet away. Should have enough now to last the rest of the year. These range in size from 3-6 pounds to the one in the center, about 8.
 
How many BPR's did you have
